My second shoot back since having Brody felt just like shooting family since I’ve had the privilege of taking Lucas’ since he was 3 months old (click here to see him then!) I just can’t believe we are already doing Lucas’ 18 month portraits. A YEAR AND A HALF has passed! I always thought time has passed faster and faster since having kids of my own. What I didn’t prepare for when starting this photography business was feeling time pass quick when taking pictures of other people’s kids!
We met up at their house and followed a trail that they walk most days on their own walks around the neighborhood. Thanks, Covid, for making this time such a weird time to be a photographer. But honestly, it’s been a great challenge. I have really enjoyed this weekend taking pictures on little nature walks in neighborhoods.
This shoot was so much fun! It really depicts the stage that Lucas is in! We pretty much just let Lucas run the show. He ran around. Lucas picked up rocks he found. He threw sticks. He ran some more. We had a dance party at one point. He showed me his boo boo on his knee. He swung multiple times from his parents hands. I tried to get his attention by throwing a rock up in the air and hoping it didn’t hit my camera or Lucas. Neither happened, so all was good! It was a blast!
As always, their outfits were SO adorable! The blues really popped against the lush, green background on the trail. See for yourself how adorable this family is below!
OUR TIME TOGETHER: LUCAS’ 18 MONTH PORTRAITS
This picture MELTED me. I just can’t wait to have these moments of my little boy bringing me flowers.
His sweet little face and apple cheeks! Now I know why grandmas say they could just eat their grandkids up!
This mischievous little grin! I CAN’T! Taylor!! He is SO cute!!!
Isn’t this one a pictorial definition of motherhood! Pretending to actually be tickled by your little one!
