I did my own fresh 48 portraits, and I was determined to do Brody’s lifestyle newborn portraits too. These were taken 1 week after he was born, which is right when things were getting crazy with the Corona virus. Even though things were bad here in McKinney yet, it still makes you nervous with a newborn! Honestly, making me even more thankful I have the capability to do his newborn portraits on my own. I think I’ll share some tips and tricks for new moms who may not feel comfortable to let someone else around their newborn for portraits. Just because the world is crazy right now doesn’t mean you can’t have this important part of your life documented.

Like everyone else, I’m a little disappointed that the world is shut down. I was so excited to get this dress. I thought it would be perfect for portraits, but I could also wear it to church and easily nurse Brody in it. Boy was I wrong. I haven’t worn it since and honestly probably won’t get to nurse Brody at church with it. By the time church is open again, it will be too hot to wear this dress. Oh well! Even if I only use it for portraits, it was well worth it because it photographed so well.

Just like with his fresh 48, I wish I could have gotten more. Unfortunately, the pain from a c-section limits you. Shout out to my mom for letting me boss her around to get the family photos I wanted and to my husband for letting me boss him around to get the shots with me that I wanted.
