I am so lucky to have so many different groups of girlfriends! I got to go on, not one, but TWO girls trips this summer!
This one was a weekend get away with my group of girlfriends who are “my age”. It is so fun to go through life with friends who are walking through the same season as you so you can experience life together! I’ve been lucky enough to have this relationship with one of them since FIRST GRADE. It is so awesome to have friendships that carry on so long through life. It’s the same kind of friendships we are hoping our kids will have too. I’m pushing for an arranged marriage with Kayla’s son…;).
This was the first of many for us, I decided it’s going to be an annual thing I push on all of them! For our first trip we went to Fredericksburg, Texas where we stayed in an adorable house with a hot tub, shopped, drank wine on wine tours, laughed, and got some uninterrupted sleep! I also made my first trip to Magnolia in Waco on the way there!
Girls, I look forward to these trips every year here on out! 🙂
Most of these pictures are crappy cell pictures, but they mean just as much to me as my nice photos I took when I forced everyone into a photoshoot to document our trip!
OUR TRIP
Brittany and Alicia had the day off and beat us all to Waco. They got to eat at Magnolia Table and stop at the bakery. My car rolled in 30 mins before close, so I only got to go to the main store.
We finally got there and shopped like a chicken with my head cut off so I could see as much as I could in 30 mins!
After Magnolia we finished our drive and got to the ADORABLE house!
This little sign was in the house and seemed fitting for all the wine tours we did! 😉
The next day we started our day off with some breakfast and then shopping before our wine stops.
At breakfast I realized that I did not get the memo to wear blue and white stripes.
This store made me excited! I totally bought Hazel, Zach, and myself a Christmas ornament!
These are just a few of the things I wish I bought. In reality, I only bought the dress I changed into to take pictures in later!
The best thing about shopping downtown is you can carry wine with you while you pop into different stores!
After all the shopping we started our wine tasting.
This second little winery had BEAUTIFUL views! It was a small little place that felt really private. I really enjoyed that because the first place was VERY busy!
After that we went back to the house to take our girls getaway portraits!
After our pictures we enjoyed some yummy pizza at a little joint that had live music! After that we headed back to the house and sat in the hot tub before calling it a night!
The next day we woke up early to have breakfast before leaving. My lovely car decided to tell me that I had a low tire. I was lucky to be with girls who know something about cars because they helped me fix the problem so we could make the 5 hour drive back home safely!
The rest of these photos were taken all over the place and I couldn’t remember where the happened, so I’m lumping them all at the end before the bloopers!
I was super proud these girls found this spot to take pictures! Alicia was like, “I felt like you, I was like, hey this looks like great light, let’s take pictures here!” and they turned out great!! 🙂 I love when my friends understand why I am such a freak about WHERE we take the pictures! I just want us to look good-and look, it pays off!
BLOOPERS
Shout out to Kayla, Alicia, and Kelsey for helping me not be the only one to cause bloopers during our shoot! 😉
