My goodness, I love taking in home newborn portraits of siblings of babies I’ve photographed in the past. I have loved and been so blessed by the opportunity to photograph this sweet, sweet family since their older son was 3 months old! Check out baby Lucas at 3 months old. You’ll also see that Taylor carries post partum life with a second child just as well as she did with the first baby!
It is always wild to me when I can see the older sibling in the newborn baby and Bridger is copy, paste of his big brother Lucas! I can’t wait to see how they continue to look similar as they grow and how they grow to look different.
Let’s also mention how adorable Bridger’s nursery is! I’ll post a full blog soon, but just check out the background in some of these! Taylor and Colby did a great job on this special room!
I also LOVE that they have daylight bulbs in nearly all the rooms in their house! Newborn portraits in the home can be very difficult at times, especially if it is not a well lit home. Although there was just one window in Bridger’s room, they had DAYLIGHT bulbs!! This meant I could shoot with the lights on and it didn’t impede the photo at all! With yellow lights, it would ruin the image, making half the face a more blue color and the other half of the face more yellow. I adore daylight bulbs for this reason and have tried them in my own home, but I also love the cozy of yellow. I’ve stuck with yellow, but Taylor and Colby have me wanting to spend hundreds of dollars on new bulbs.
Check out this sweet little baby below!

He was literally a little angel the whole time. I love this little pose and I can’t do it with every baby. They have be dead asleep and content for me to get it, but when I get it, It’s just the cutest.
