Wowzers! One year goes by so fast! It always amazes me how quickly it happens that I am photographing one year portraits. I am also always so stunned to see how these babies have GROWN! I remember Ryder had the most hilarious outtakes of bloopers when I did his newborns. He was so expressive with his face. It cracked me up! I knew then that he was going to be full of personality. It was so fun to see him again at one and to see how his personality has blossomed.

Ryder is SUCH a happy little boy. He was so easy to photograph. It didn’t take much coaxing at all to get him to smile! It helped that Becky brought his favorite stuffed animals and snacks, but STILL. He did SO good. Ryder had such a contagious little giggle and his smile was brighter than the beautiful sun that was out for our session.

I loved seeing Becky and Grant together with Ryder. Becky wanted to me capture Grant chasing Ryder with a little song he sings to him every day, it was SO cute! I can’t remember all the words, but it was something like, “Fe fi fo fum, I see my cute and cuddly son”. Ryder would run away from Grant as he sang until Grant caught up to him, he’d then grab him and give him a big hug. It was the CUTEST.

Ryder also had fun giving them high fives, fist bumps, little finger touches. I mean, it was just the sweetest little session. Ryder is so blessed to have these two as parents. They make an adorable family and it was such an hour to spend time with them documenting such a milestone-ONE YEAR OLD!
