Christiaan was exactly 2 weeks old when I took his lifestyle newborn portraits. He was just the most perfect little baby I have ever seen. I could not believe how much he resembled a little doll. He stayed asleep and perfect nearly the entire time.

Christiaan is the third little boy to Nicholette and Freddy. He was born way earlier than expected, and crashed his big brother’s birthday by stealing the thunder a couple days before. The best present was coming home ON his brother’s birthday though!

I love making little connections with people too! I found out that Their oldest son went to the school I teach at! It was fun making the connection and I feel like it bonded us. He was following me around the whole time and being just as sweet as can be!

The whole family is sweet, actually! Freddy was super helpful and easy going with my crazy needs to get good lighting. He helped me pull up blinds, was willing to move a car out of the way of a window, and even completely rearranged the furniture in their front room. He grabbed the couch and moved it with the whole family on it where I needed it to be! Thanks, Freddy!

It was obviously a great time! I just LOVE freezing these moments in time! New babies change SO fast. It’s such an honor to take this moment at home for families and turn it into a visual representation of the this sweet, sweet time in their lives that they can look back at when their baby is 2, then 6, then 16, then 21 and so on! Christiaan will also have awesome photos to compare his own future children too to see all their similarities!

In short, I recognize the huge responsibility this job has and the way they will be held and treasured for years to come. I am honored to do the job!
