Baker’s Backyard 6 Month Portraits

Milestones

I’m not sure if I have ever seen a child grow so quickly as Baker Boy (see how small he was just a few hours old here)! He is not the 1 year old he looks like. He is actually only 6 months old! I foresee a career in football or lacrosse (which I’m pretty sure Mom would prefer anyways). Baker’s 6 month portraits snuck up on us with all the rain we have been having here in Texas and it got even weirder when all the sudden on the day of his shoot the high was randomly 50 degrees. IN TEXAS. Like, what is going on?! It had literally been 85 the previous week! Poor Baker was cold, but a total trooper!

Even though it was cold and kind of cloudy, the sun came out to shine here and there, giving us some good light, he was a happy boy that gave me lots of smiles. We took these pictures on his grandparents farm in the back field, which I LOVE. I hope one day I can live on a place with lots of land with a nice tree line and a field of tall grass and wildflowers. It is just my absolute favorite setting to take portraits!

Big things are ahead for this sweet family and I am so honored to document these photos for them as their baby boy continues to grow and do things like sit up, babble, and coo.

Oh my gosh. Ashley may kill me for these but I thought these were so funny. Braxton was REALLY taking me literally when I saw to walk really slow. It really is a hilarious exaggeration of what I ask my clients to do so I can get those cute walking shots in focus.
