It was a very rainy day when we did Bishop’s lifestyle newborn portraits in Laura and Doug’s home in Plano, TX. Just like every other Saturday this past month. Luckily, their pictures were inside their home, so we didn’t have to worry about rescheduling like I have every other shoot this month! Although rainy weather makes it more difficult to take photos-indoor and outdoor, I love the way it just relaxes you. Anyone else feel like they could just sit on the couch and Netflix binge all day with weather like that?

Laura and Doug are awesome! I so enjoyed meeting them and getting to know them! They welcomed me in and were just the most generous hosts who were easy to get to know and be around! They even offered me a drink (an adult beverage), which I totally regret declining! At first I thought, “Oh, they’re joking, it would be weird and unprofessional to accept”. Then once I got to know them a bit more, I think they were only kidding if I said no and that they totally would have loved to mix me up a drink! Unless I’m wrong and you were in fact joking. Then I actually meant my no as a firm no and I am a very professional person. haha!

I loved their house, I loved the fact that they had country music playing on their TV the whole session, I loved Bishop’s nursery, and I LOVED Bishop! He was so sweet and just perfect I also loved their dog, Liberty! She was such a well behaved pup!

I even realized we had a couple different connections which are always fun! We all went through the same schools. I actually went to high school with her younger sister and was friends with her wayyy back in the day. When I got home to tell my husband, he informed me that their dad didn’t like him because he “chased him down once”. He was a cop, and he informed me that this was in his “bad boy years”.

Laura and Doug, it was so awesome meeting you! Thank you for being so amazing! Bishop is a lucky little dude to have you guys as parents! I hope you cherish these images for years and years to come! He won’t ever be this small again! You’ll be amazed at how DIFFERENT he looks on his first birthday!

I just love this picture! Bishop and Liberty are gonna be good buddies as he grows up!
