Hello! Welcome!

Personal

Hi! Welcome, friend!

My name is Meghan Holden, a McKinney, Texas newborn and portrait photographer! I love all things family and babies, which is why these two “genres” seem to be my favorite kind of photography!

I’m also a former server and current elementary teacher, so I naturally care about others and love to serve families in this capacity!

I’ve always loved photography, but didn’t get too serious about it until I had my daughter. I then decided to wipe the dust from my camera I had bought when I was pregnant and learn how to use it so I could capture great portraits for every quarter of her life (I didn’t end up being that Pinterest mom I aspired to be early on where I got monthly pictures! haha).

I am the kind of person who thinks a picture is worth a thousand words. I know what you’re thinking, “No way, not from a photographer!” SO, allow me to introduce myself to you through the form of pictures and few captions below! Although I love photography, I haven’t always been the best at it, so please ignore the quality of most of these pictures! 😉

I have had a friend since birth-my twin sister, Bekah. I’m a whole minute older. 🙂 We’re super excited because she just bought a lot in our new neighborhood, in a year, our dreams we never thought would come true are coming true, we’ll live together FOREVER-kind of.

This is my favorite family picture. Photo cred goes to our long time bestie since first grade, Robyn. I feel like it encompasses the true reality of a family with teenagers. My parents are so fed up in this picture and we think it’s hilarious. And can we talk about the poor hair choices my brother and I both made in this year? Well, on second thought, I’d rather not.

My husband and I have been together since the 10th grade. Top left corner is us in high school, photo on the right is obviously our wedding in 2009, and the bottom left is us in the fall of 2017. We’ve turned into adults together and done a lot of life together already!

These are two of my many best friends. We have been friends for years, as you can see! I’ve been friends with Kelsey (left) since middle school and friends with Kayla (right, at our high school prom!) since first grade! I guess what I’m really getting at is, if I like you, you’re stuck with me for life! 😉

My husband and I have been obsessed with Kenny Chesney since we were young. We went to the Kenny Chesney concert every summer for many years when he would come to Dallas. As a result, we named our blue pit after him, his name is Chesney. Since I was obsessed with Elvis when I was younger, our boxer is named Presley. So now that’s our thing. Our next dog’s name will be Church (Erich Church) or Shelton (Blake Shelton).

My husband loves to hunt in Arkansas. The trees there are so beautiful. I don’t really enjoy hunting so much, but I do enjoy riding around on four wheelers. We shared this tiny green four wheeler that he’s had since he was a young boy until just about a year ago when we finally had the cash to upgrade him to a respectable, big boy four wheeler after we sold our first house. He’s stoked about it, but already looking forward to getting a side by side one day. Insert eye rolling emoji here…boys and their toys.

We went on vacation with some friends (from high school…like I said, if I like you, I keep you forever), a couple years ago. I’m normally a huge homebody. I literally don’t like going anywhere. Traveling seems fun, but in reality, I feel like my life is so busy that I’m never home to enjoy it. But THIS vacation, made me like going out of town! This is the kind of traveling I like to do! Too bad I can’t afford it! haha! I’m mainly posting this to hold our friends accountable that we said we would make it a ritual!! Times a tickin’, friends!

My sweet baby!! The first picture is my most favorite picture of my sweet gingersnap! Photo cred to long time friend Ryan! The bottom is a picture of her just a few months ago. She’s already changed so much from this picture as it is! Be prepared to see lots of pictures of her if you frequent my page! 🙂

I really had a hard time locating pictures for this little post! I realized I take wayyyy too many pictures (especially in high school-how many pictures of a duck face with a peace sign can I have?). This is just a tiny glimpse into my life and what I hold dear! To sum it up; friends and family! It would be an honor to help you document your own friends and family, so that you too can have wayyyyy too many pictures to look back and reminisce on for years to come!
