Baker’s Fresh 48, McKinney Texas-Baylor Scott & White

Newborns

Baker Blake McKinney was born at 1:43 AM in McKinney, Texas. He was born 7 lbs, 12 oz and 21 inches long. I was so honored to take his fresh 48 portraits.

Cool, huh? When he grows up he can tell his friends that the city he was born in was named after him! 😉

In all seriousness, cities are usually named after leaders who work hard and put others needs first. Knowing his parents, I KNOW he’s going to grow up to be a selfless leader. I’ve known Baker’s mom since she was little. Ashley is one of my best friend’s little sister. This may be why Baker’s little face looks familiar, I’ve also photographed two of his cousins! It has been so cool watching her grow and mature from a little girl in elementary school, to a strong Christian leader in her own community, and now to a mom of her own, sweet baby.

Although I don’t know Braxton as well as Ashley, I know a lot about his character just from observation and interactions with him in social settings. He is humble, kind, and an awesome husband who is supportive and caring for his wife.

Baker is going to have two really awesome, strong examples of what it means to be a man of faith when he grows up. He’s going to have the perfect mentors to show him what it means to lead others to a positive way of living. He also has a slew of uncles, aunts, and grandparents who are going to do the same.

Baker’s already shown resilience. When talking to Ashley about his birth story, I was amazed at both of their strength. Ashley went through HOURS of labor to have to have a c-section in the end.

Poor Baker was trying to come out, but couldn’t because a bone in Ashley’s back was stopping him from going any farther. (Talk about OUCH for BOTH of them!) He has a nice little battle scar on his head to show for it. The first of many to come for what I’m envisioning will be a rowdy, tough little boy.

I hope everyone reading enjoys these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them! Enjoy!

I know these photos look similar, but I adore them both. It really shows the love and adoration they BOTH have for each other as brand new parents.

BLOOPERS

Believe it or not, there was only one photo that I really deemed to be a good blooper. He was just such a sweet and sleepy baby the whole time!
