Lola’s Market Pumpkin Patch

Toddler Portraits

I love doing corny, festive things with my girl! I love festive activities for EVERY holiday. The sad thing is, my husband doesn’t, so the holidays haven’t been as fun as they COULD be our whole married life because he’ll only participate to an extent, and only to appease me.

BUT, now that I have a kid, I have someone to raise and breed to LOVE every single festive thing there is to do, and that’s exactly what I plan to do. It started out this year now that she is old enough to participate somewhat. Our first festive activity of her life? Going to the pumpkin patch! We went to Lola’s Market right down the street from our new house! It was super cute!

Although my favorite holiday is Christmas, my second favorite holiday is Halloween, and the only reason for that is because it kicks off what I call holiday season! Starting in October with Halloween, there is a major holiday nearly every month until Easter! One of the reasons I actually loath summer is because the only major holiday is the 4th of July. There are no fun, festive activities to do, nothing to decorate for, it just bites! I am soaking up every festive moment I can muster out of the next 18 years of my daughter’s life!

She doesn’t quite know what to do with the pumpkins!

I loved that they had little baby pumpkins for her to play with! We ended up buying her a tiny one so that we could paint a jack-o-lantern on it! 🙂

This place had chickens! She had so much fun chasing them around!

We are really in the running and squatting phase. She’s gonna have thunder thighs if she keeps that up!

“Hey, Mom, I’m gonna eat this pumpkin.”

“Oh, ugh, um, I’m not sure about this.”

“Yea, yuck, that’s a vegetable isn’t it?”
