This is probably my favorite fresh 48 session to date. Not only because the pictures are beautiful, but because this baby represents hope!

This sweet mama is one of my long time friends (since middle school), and we have been through a lot of life together. *Fun note, this baby was born one short month after her cousin, you can see her fresh 48 here.* One of the things we have in common is the fact that we have both had miscarriages with our first pregnancy. So when she got pregnant with Isla, I was overjoyed for her! I know the struggle that she went through. I also knew the joy that she was about to encounter, but also the uncertainty and worry that she was about to endure for the months to come until Isla safely got here.

Thankfully, for both of us, we were introduced to the “HopeMommies” group from another mom friend of ours who experienced the loss of her sweet baby years before us when she was almost due (fun fact, I remember this sweet baby often because my daughter shares her birthday. She has done more to impact this world than I’m sure her mom could have ever imagined). I remember admiring her for her strength through that season of her life and marvel at all she has done with her work through this organization.
