You ever meet someone that you feel like you already know? That’s how Megan and I felt when I went to do Ruth’s lifestyle newborn portraits. Not because we share the same name, but literally, we went to the same high school, we both looked familiar to one another, but we could not figure out the connection. That didn’t stop me from feeling like I was hanging out with an old friend while I took Ruth’s newborn portraits!

The thing I really love about doing in home lifestyle newborn portraits is that you really get a feel for the family and what they’re like. I loved the Birmingham family. Ruth is so lucky to amazing parents. Megan and Jacob were patient and kind, that was so evident with Ruth, but also their other kids. I could immediately tell that they cherish the most important thing about life-family and being together with that family.

I honestly was inspired by them. Their older daughter Annalee has health conditions that have been effecting her and her family. She requires a lot of medical attention and I think they just do a really good job of balancing it all. I think a lot of times when you have a medically fragile child, the siblings get kind of looked over unintentionally. That’s so not the case with the here. I feel like Megan and Jacob are very INTENTIONAL about making sure all of their kids feel loved, important, and valued. I think that’s really going to serve them well as they grow older. They are super parents who should feel very accomplished!
