Evie’s In Home Lifestyle Newborn Portraits–Allen, Texas–McKinney, Texas Newborn Photographer

Newborns

There’s nothing like coming home with a newborn baby. I just LOVE getting to do these in home lifestyle newborn portraits. They are so sweet. I love documenting these first days at home!

Lazy days just snuggling baby and spending good quality family time cozying up on the couch. It’s really the best and one of the reasons that newborn portraits are my very favorite kind of photos to take! Taking Evie’s newborn portraits was no different, I was in heaven!

I couldn’t believe how quickly Evie’s delivery went. I was supposed to take Evie’s fresh 48 photos, but it just didn’t work out, they left the hospital too quick! Everything about her coming and going was quick. Sara was literally giving me text updates that went like this:

Sarah-8:50– Contractions are really starting to pick up but I’m waiting for my dr. to get here to break my water.
Me-8:53-Okay! Let me know! I’m glad you’re already having good contractions! Hopefully it continues to progress!
Sarah-8:54– 4cm dilated!! It’s going by fast
Me-8:54-Woo hoo!! That’s so awesome!
Sarah-8:55-In pain lol!! They are getting good! haha getting epi now
Me-8:55-bahahah man, that is progressing fast!
Sarah-8:56-Went from 2-4 in 2 hours. I feel like that’s quick…I really can’t remember
Me-8:58-I have no clue! I hope it is! This is cracking me up how fast your updated have progressed

Sarah-10:05-5 cm and predicted to be here by lunch
Me-10:18-Eeek! yay!!
Sarah-10:52-10 and about to push!!!
Me-10:53-Ahhh!!
Sarah-10:53– Do you like my updates? lol
Me-10:53-Omg! Yes!! I can’t believe how fast that was! Send me a pic of her sweet face when she gets here! I’m so excited for you!
Sarah-12:27-She got here like ten minutes after I texted you.

Ya’ll, I have never met anyone who’s delivery went so quickly, especially an induction! They were literally gone the next afternoon!

I am so happy for Sarah that it was a quick and easy delivery! I’m thrilled that she is here safe and sound!

Photographing her was a dream. She was alert and awake when I first got there. I got a few shots of her awake. She then ate and slept like a dream the rest of our time together!

Sarah and Marcus are also amazing because they were willing to take their whole house apart for me to get better lighting. Marcus moved a whole couch somewhere completely different so the lighting would be better! Thanks, Marcus!

Check out this cute baby below!
