I got the pleasure of photographing these sweet kids again with their mama recently and it was so fun!
We had this BEAUTIFUL location! We were shooting at golden hour. It was MAGIC—almost!
Sweet little Avery had JUST been woken up from a nap when we arrived and she was NOT having it. I mean, I guess I can’t blame her-I wouldn’t have wanted to be woken up either! We had to work some SERIOUS magic to try and get her to smile. Amber bribed her with a cupcake. I bribed her with money. Amber bribed her with the promise of a new toy, a happy meal, a reminder that Santa was watching and if she wanted to be on the nice list and get toys, she had to smile it. I even offered Brantley 5 dollars if HE could get her to smile. I still gave him a dollar for trying! 😉
No. Use. This girl gave me a run for my money and won. I can even get babies to look and smile at least ONCE. Not Avery!
She is determined and stubborn. She is going to smash whatever goals and dreams she sets for herself, that’s for sure!
Instead, we had to pretend she was just being extra cuddly instead of extra stubborn. 😉
Brantley and I had a great time bonding and I’m pretty sure we’re best friends now. I’m pretty sure me and Avery are too, because as soon as we drove apart, she told her mom she was ready to take pictures. 😉

Not as high as normal since we had to spend time coaxing Avery into taking pictures, but still resulted in plenty of pictures, most of which were bloopers, but that’s how it normally goes anyhow!
